To celebrate journalists who bring a unique perspective on the issues of the day; provocative, engaging, controversial and entertaining.​

 

Features Journalist of the Year

To celebrate the person who demonstrate a compelling style in news reportage, colour, analysis, and backgrounders. Open to all media disciplines.​

 

 

Campaign of the Year

To celebrate campaigns which made waves, struck a chord with readers/listeners/viewers and simply made a difference. This can be a team or an individual award.

 

 

Magazine/Supplement of the Year

To find the best magazine or supplement. The award will recognise outstanding content, design, use of photography and readability.

Sports Journalist of the Year

To celebrate the person who has made the most impact in the field of sports journalism during the past year.

Online/Digital Journalist of the Year

To celebrate the person who expertly deploys all the tools in the digital arsenal to tell stories in new ways. This could involve video, live blogging, data journalism and infographics.

 

 

The Tony Flanagan Photographer of the Year Award

To celebrate photographers whose work appears in print or online. The award will be given to the photographer responsible for the picture which had the biggest impact during the year.

 

 

​Radio Journalist of the Year

To celebrate the person who has made the most impact in the field of radio journalism during the past year.

Television Journalist of the Year

To celebrate the person who has made the most impact in the field of television journalism during the past year.

News Reporter of the Year (Daily)

To celebrate a news reporter whose stories consistently led the agenda during the past year. Specifically for print and online reporters working for daily newspaper brands and associated websites.

 

 

News Reporter of the Year (Weekly)

To celebrate a news reporter whose stories made the biggest impact during the past year. Specifically for print and online reporters working for weekly newspaper brands and associated websites.​

Newspaper of the Year

To celebrate the newspaper which has consistently led the way both online and in print. Factors such as audience engagement, the newspaper's involvement with its community, design and content will be taken into consideration.​​

Story of the Year

To celebrate the team or individual behind the stand out story of the year; be it an investigation, breaking news coverage or agenda setting exclusive. Open to all media disciplines.

Parking

Please be aware that Edgbaston is a public transport destination and parking is limited. We recommend you only use official stadium parking.

By Bus

The 45 and 47 bus will take you straight from Carrs Lane in Birmingham City Centre and drop you off on Pershore Road, which is a 2-minute walk from the Stadium.

By Rail

The nearest mainline train station is Birmingham New Street which is 2 miles away from the Stadium. There are a further 2 main train stations in the city centre, Moor Street (3.1 miles away) and Snow Hill (3.4 miles away).
